The African Canadian Social Development Council is planning a series of one-day workshops and meetings to encourage Elders in the Continental African community to advance their own leadership skills and reach out to others.
WHAT:
-
Six, one-day meetings starting in July and ending next February
-
Lunch, snacks and resource materials for everyone. Free TTC tokens.
-
Each meeting will include some training on leadership and discussions about expanding the network of seniors
-
While the first meeting will focus on exploring our own leadership qualities, many of the leadership topics will be determined by you and your fellow participants
-
You will also decide what kind of network would be of value in the broader Continental African community and be involved in telling others about this network
WHEN AND WHERE:
-
The meetings start on July 13th and the final session will be held on February 10, 2010.
-
The first few meetings will be held at the African Canadian Social Development Council [ACSDC] office at 215 Spadina Avenue north of Queen Street. Your transportation costs will be covered for all the meetings
