A NEW SENIORS LEADERSHIP & ADVOCACY PROJECT

The Continental African Canadian Seniors Advocacy Network

• Are you attracted to new challenges?

• Would you like to spend time with others developing strong networks in your community?

• Are you interested in enhancing your own leadership skills?

• Would you like to meet new people, have fun and enjoy delicious food?

• Do you have six days you could spend over the next eight months?

• Six, one-day meetings starting in July and ending next February

• Lunch, snacks and resource materials for everyone. Free TTC tokens.

• Each meeting will include some training on leadership and discussions about expanding the network of seniors

• While the first meeting will focus on exploring our own leadership qualities, many of the leadership topics will be determined by you and your fellow participants

• You will also decide what kind of network would be of value in the broader Continental African community and be involved in telling others about this network

• The meetings start on July 13th and the final session will be held on February 10, 2010.

• The first few meetings will be held at the African Canadian Social Development Council [ACSDC] office at 215 Spadina Avenue north of Queen Street. Your transportation costs will be covered for all the meetings
